Location

Les Villas de Fontenelles are a part of the Residence Les Fontenelles, on the fringes of an 18-hole golf course in Saint Gilles Croix de Vie. The Atlantic coastline is just 8km away, while the town of Coëx is 5km from the villas. Located on the western coast of France, the area offers some beautiful scenery and spectacular coastline, as well as delicious local cuisine and delicacies.

The Vendée region of France is known for its charming countryside and open spaces, providing plenty of opportunities to relax as well as take part in the many activities on offer. Families can enjoy the classic seaside attractions and tranquil atmosphere, while the city of Nantes is just over an hour away for those who enjoy shopping and sightseeing.

The swimming pools are open from April to end of October, depending on the weather, some can be heated from May 15 to September 15, 2022.

The Accommodation

With idyllic countryside surroundings and plenty of activities close by, Les Villas de Fontenelles are ideal for those who want to make the most of this beautiful area of France. Each residence is high-quality with top of the range facilities and has been individually decorated, with beautiful regal architecture and traditional French shutters. The exteriors are bright pastels to keep the villas refreshingly cool in the summer heat, while the interiors offer plenty of space, large windows and a light atmosphere.

These villas offer quality and comfort, sleeping from six to eight people, and all offer easy access to the golf course, with discounted prices for Summer France guests. There is a fully equipped kitchen in each, as well as a large living area and a private swimming pool and pool house, plus a spacious garden and terrace with outdoor furniture. Les Villas de Fontenelles are all self-catered, with a fully equipped kitchen for guests to try their hand at French cooking as well as the freedom to explore the local restaurants in the area. With an extensive Atlantic coastline, the Vendée region is known for its delicious fresh fish and shellfish, as well as cured meats, made with the delicious local salt from the salt marshes.

There are two restaurants in the adjoining Residence Les Fontenelles, serving an excellent choice of classic French dishes. There is a shop within walking distance, as well as a supermarket 9km away and a hypermarket 12km away.

Saint Gilles Croix de Vie

The historic fishing village of Saint Gilles Croix de Vie is a popular holiday retreat for visitors looking for a blend of coastal and rural adventure, and a slow pace of life. Wander through the village or head down to the shore to watch the boats bringing in their catch of the day, before indulging in the freshest seafood straight from the sea to the plate. With one of the world's largest boat manufacturers, Bénéteau, celebrating its founding here, the harbour is a vibrant place to visit. A number of festivals are put on during the summer, including the popular jazz festival every May. Nantes and La Roche-sur-Yon are also both within driving distance of the village.

Activities

Summer guests can spend their days relaxing in the blissful French weather, stretching out on the soft golden sands of the beach and heading into the sea for a cool dip. Fishing and golf both provide an excellent way to soak up the stunning natural landscapes of the area. To completely immerse in relaxation, guests can head to one of the thalassotherapy healing spas to re-energise skin with the use of the pure and mineral-rich local waters.

With extensive countryside in and around Saint Gilles Croix de Vie, activities are plentiful. At the equestrian centre, Aumarière, guests can choose and prepare their own horses before exploring the area by horseback, while the Animaux de la Ferme animal park, which is 50 minutes away, is great for children who love nature. The nearby salt trail and nautical centre are both worth a visit, and there's also a traditional petanque available.

Things to see

Lively Nantes, located on the Loire River, is just over an hour away by car and offers further shopping, bars, restaurants, historic sites and some gorgeous architecture.
Families will enjoy a day out to the theme park Le Puy du Fou, with historic stunt shows, exhibits and animal displays. Animal lovers should head to the Zoo des Sables d'Olonne, which is a 30 minute car journey to the south and offers a diverse range of animals, including leopards, gorillas, flamingos, lions, penguins and many more.

Payment conditions

Summer France offers 3 options for payment:

1) Pay in 3 instalments: 10% deposit at the time of booking, 10% two months before the date of arrival and the remaining balance one month before the date of arrival. This method of payment is only available for bookings made by telephone more than 70 days before the stay.
2) Pay in two instalments: 10% deposit at the time of booking and payment of the remaining balance 30 days before the date of arrival. This method of payment is only available when the booking is made more than 31 days before the arrival date.
3) Pay in 1 instalment: pay the full amount at the time of booking and receive a discount of 15 GBP on the overall price of the stay. This method of payment is valid for stays of 7 nights or more, booked more than 40 days before arrival and for a minimum purchase of 150 GBP.

- Any extras added more than 30 days prior to arrival will be added to the final payment
- Any extras added after the final payment to be paid at the time of addition to booking.
-If the booking was made under the 'non refundable' terms, the total amount will be debited at the time of the booking (the discount of 15 GBP is not available on these prices).

Methods of payment accepted:
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, cheques*, holiday vouchers*.
*(only for reservations made more than a month before arrival).
For payments desired by cheque or holiday vouchers the deposit must be paid by way of debit/credit card - Visa, Mastercard, American Express and the second and/or third payment can be made by cheque or holiday voucher.
Arrival date less than 40 days: The total amount of the booking must be paid in full online, by debit/credit card at the time of booking.

Cancellation conditions

1) If you choose Standard Conditions
If the client cancels a reservation the following amounts will be retained:
-More than 30 days before the date of arrival: 30% of the price of the holiday
-Between 30 days and 21 days before arrival: 45% of the price of the holiday
-Between 20 days and 8 days before arrival: 60% of the price of the holiday
-Between 7 days and 4 days before arrival: 90% of the price of the holiday
-Less than 3 days before arrival: 100% of the price of the holiday

2) If you choose Non Refundable Conditions
As part of the low price non-refundable offer, in the case of a cancellation you will be invoiced for the total amount at any time
