Trebas-les-Bains
Escape to the beautiful countryside paradise that is Trebas, nestled in the Tarn Valley with easy access to the incredible Tarn gorges and the cultural town of Albi. Enjoy medieval castles and quaint, traditional hillside villages encompassed by peace and natural beauty. It is the ideal holiday choice for couples, families or groups of friends, whether you are seeking rest and relaxation or outdoor fun in a mild climate.
The Vallée du Tarn, nestling in a green setting, offers a relaxing and picturesque setting, combining valleys, hills and mountains up to 800m in altitude, not forgetting its vast plateaux. Situated along the river Tarn, it links Millau to Albi, and lies in the north-east of the Tarn, just on the edge of the Massif Central near the Aveyron. You'll find yourself in the heart of the Occitanie region, at a reasonable distance from the major cities: 1h30 from Toulouse, 1h from Rodez, near Millau and 2h from Montpellier or the Gorges du Tarn. It's the perfect place for a nature break in south-west France, with the chance to visit some exceptional heritage sites nearby.
The Presqu'île d'Ambialet, meanwhile, is a hidden treasure within the Vallée du Tarn, offering breathtaking views of the ancient medieval town, now recognised as a Petite Cité de Caractère and part of the prestigious Grand Site Occitanie Sud de France "Albi, Vallée du Tarn".
The Vallée du Tarn is also a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, with hiking trails of varying levels of difficulty, river swimming opportunities at Trébas-les-Bains, and canoeing routes, making this a destination rich in natural experiences.
Activities
With such exhilarating and breath-taking surroundings, many of the attractions in the Tarn Valley take place in the great outdoors. Try out the cycling and walking routes across the Valley and admire the views of the hillsides and the meandering River Tarn. For the more active, there is mountain biking across the trails and if you fancy taking to the water then canoeing and kayaking on the Tarn is a must.
Families will enjoy the donkey rides, which are offered throughout the region, and provide amusement for all ages, while keen fisherman and those wanting to try angling can catch their dinner in the River Tarn ready to cook up in your own luxury apartment at the Résidence La Marquisié. For the perfect opportunity to unwind, relax in the ancient spa baths of Trebas and if you don't want to travel too far then head straight to the onsite wellness centre, where you can relax in the pool, and Jacuzzi for the ultimate pampering session.
