Location

The Residence Sognu di Rena is a stunning property located in Corsica. The residence is located very close to the clear blue waters of the Mediterranean, with a 17km stretch of sandy shoreline and a private marina very close by. Guests at these apartments are spoiled by magnificent views of Moriani Beach and the palm, cypress and olive trees of the surrounding gardens.

Bastia, the second largest city of Corsica and 40km from the residence, is a vibrant area packed with bars, eateries and local culture. The shops and amenities of San Nicolao town centre are just 500 metres from the Residence Sognu di Rena, allowing you to come and go with ease.

Accommodation

This typically Mediterranean property comprises 109 stylish apartments. The Residence Sognu di Rena fits with its surroundings of scenic, landscaped gardens and ocean views. Palm trees, cypress trees and olive trees cover the green grounds around the apartments.

The property provides guests with direct access to the nearby beach and also has its own private outdoor swimming pool which is lined with sun loungers and parasols and also offers a shallow pool for children. (open from april to october according to the weather) Guests are able to enjoy the terrace bar as well as indoor facilities and activities like table tennis.

Board Options

All of the apartments at the Residence Sognu di Rena are self-catered with well-equipped kitchenettes where guests can prepare their own meals. Guests can also rent a BBQ from the residence. There are plenty of grocery shops in central San Nicolao (just a 500 metre walk from the property) where food and drink can be bought. In addition to this, the city of Bastia is 40 km from the property and is home to numerous restaurants and bars.

The swimming pool is opened for the summer season in compliance with hygiene and sanitary regulations.

San Nicolao

The seaside resort of San Nicolao can be found in the Haute-Corse department of France on the east of Corsica. Situated on the rugged slopes of Mount Castello d'Osari, overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, this is a picturesque resort ideal for sightseers.

Walking, relaxing on the beach and sampling some of the many water sports are simply beautiful in Corsica. For something a little more historical, Corsica is proud of its heritage and proudly displays Genoese towers, beautiful ruins and wide open vistas to admire. Cuisine and cooking are important factors in Corsica, so expect to sample plenty of the delicious local foods, which are deeply French in their heritage, flavoured with Italian flair.

Activities

Thanks to the resort's seafront location, which offers 17km of coast and a busy harbour, water sports activities are particularly popular. Catamarans and sailing boats are available for hire and there are handy sailing and scuba diving schools in the resort. Other water activities, such as snorkelling, paragliding, fishing and jet-skiing are also great choices.

Visitors who would prefer to stay on dry land can enjoy canyoning, horse riding and hiking in the many mountain trails which can be found throughout San Nicolao, many of which are very close to the Residence Sognu di Rena.

Things to see / not to miss

Fans of history and architecture shouldn't miss out on the chance to visit the San Nicolao parish church. This quaint, 17th century chapel is immediately recognisable thanks to its towering bell tower which stands prominently over the surrounding chestnut woods. The interior of the church is totally authentic to its period and is virtually untouched by the centuries.

The aqueduct is another must-see feature in the resort. This aqueduct has served the working mill of San Nicolao for centuries up to the modern day.

Late Arrival (after 10pm)

Please inform the reception or the reservations centre in advance and we will advise you of the late arrival procedure.

Key Collection

Check in is from 5 pm onwards. The keys are available at the reception on presentation of your voucher.

Deposit

Upon arrival, you have to pay a deposit of 300Eu (Visa, Mastercard, French Cheque) for your property. This will be returned to you within 15 days of your departure assuming there are no charges for breakages or additional cleaning.

Cleaning

End of Stay Cleaning is to be paid on arrival (obligatory extra).

Payment Conditions

Madame Vacances offers 3 options for payment:

1) Pay in 3 instalments if booked more than 60 days prior to arrival:
- 15% deposit at time of booking, 15% payment 60 days prior to arrival & 70% payment 30 days prior to arrival

2) Pay in 2 instalments if booked more than 30 days prior to arrival:
- 30% deposit at time of booking & 70% payment 30 days prior to arrival

3) Pay in 1 payment (always available and obligatory if booked less than 30 days prior to arrival)
- 100% at time of booking

Additional Extras:
- Any extras added more than 30 days prior to arrival will be added to final payment
- Any extras added after final payment to be paid at time of addition to booking

Cancellation Conditions

- If you choose Standard Conditions

If the client cancels a reservation the following amounts will be retained:
-More than 30 days before the date of arrival: 30% of the price of the holiday
-Between 30 days and 21 days before arrival: 45% of the price of the holiday
-Between 20 days and 8 days before arrival: 60% of the price of the holiday
-Between 7 days and 4 days before arrival: 90% of the price of the holiday
-Less than 3 days before arrival: 100% of the price of the holiday

- If you choose Free Cancellation Conditions

If the client cancels a reservation the following amounts will be retained:
-More than 30 days before the arrival date: repayment of the deposit
-Between 30 days and the date of arrival: 100% of the total price will be retained.
-No show: the total price of the reservation will be retained

- If you choose Non Refundable Conditions

As part of the low price non-refundable offer, in the case of a cancellation you will be invoiced for the total amount at any time
