Moliets
The seaside town of Moliets offers visitors a range of shops, restaurants, cafés and attractions, with plenty to do whether you are looking to relax or try something more high energy. On the Landes coastline where there are stunning beaches and miles of natural parks, pretty towns and villages, Moliets offers the chance to explore the great French outdoors. Head into the Landes forest on foot or by bike, or wander through the surrounding countryside.
Bordeaux is just under two hours away from the Résidence du Golf, and offers a further selection of restaurants, bars and cafés as well as nightlife. Alternatively, take the short car journey to Leon Lake and admire its natural surroundings.
Activities
Summer France Résidence du Golf is located on one of the best golf courses in France, Golf Club Moliets, where guests can take in the stunning Atlantic coastline and the tranquil Landes forest as they tee off among the pine trees. Surrounded by both the sea and the forest, there is plenty to be explored, both on foot and bike. The Adrenaline Parc is ideal for families, with courses and ropes between the trees providing an active day out, while for something exciting, Moliets beach is a fantastic place to learn to surf, located in the huge Bay of Biscay, and a surf school offering tuition and equipment rental. Guests can also hire a gondolier to take them down the Courant d'Huchet, which goes from Leon Lake to the shores of the Atlantic, where you can finish with a picnic and fine bottle of wine at sunset.
Golf & Tennis
Moliets is a major destination for golfers. Ranked among the 10 best golf courses in France, the Moliets Golf Club is one of the most beautiful golf courses in Europe. Its position on the edge of the ocean makes it an outstanding location. The desired handicap for the 18-hole course is less than 36 and several holes are links style.
Every Sunday during the season there are free introductory lessons for children aged 6 and over.
Things to see / Not to miss
Head into Bordeaux, which is just a two hour car journey away, and pick up some delicious local wines and French delicacies, as well as visiting the markets, shops and boutiques.
Spend the morning at Leon market picking up fresh local produce before watching the world go by in one of the many street side cafés.
Visit Spain, just a hop over the border, and you can be in San Sebastian within an hour and a half, where you can pull up a chair and experience some of the spectacular tapas that's being awarded Michelin stars left, right and centre!
