Jean des Sables is in Hossegor and offers incredible views over the Atlantic Ocean, while most of the towns and villages offer restaurants serving delicious French cuisine.

Southwest France tends to be quiet for nightlife, with Bordeaux offering the liveliest options. Here visitors can enjoy bars and restaurants which stay open late, before heading to one of the clubs nearby. Le Caillou au Jardin Botanique is pricey but with a relaxed atmosphere, located in the botanic garden, while L'Ice Room is chic and cosmopolitan with interesting cocktail concoctions on offer. Alternatively, Pub Saint Aubin is more down to earth, while L'I.Boat is found on a boat and has a good dance floor.
