Summer France Résidence Les Consuls de la Mer is located in the stunning town of Montpellier, which is known for its architecture, history and range of bars and restaurants. Dating back to the medieval times, there is plenty to be explored, with visitors finding themselves transported into another world during their holidays.

Found in the heart of the commercial centre of the city, there are bars, restaurants and shops galore on the doorstep of the apartment. For a break from the hustle and bustle of city life, Montpellier is located on the south coast of France, with the Mediterranean close by and offering warm sandy beaches. Alternatively, visit the Antigone quarter in the old town of the resort and admire the buildings, sights and attractions.

The apartments

Sleeping from two to six people, the apartments at the Résidence Les Consuls de la Mer are the ideal place for families, couples and groups to simply relax, while remaining close to the centre of this vibrant city. Situated in the Port Marianne district, there is plenty to see in the surrounding area, with the bright and airy rooms and modern architecture of the building making the most of the bright sunshine found throughout most of the year in this area of the south of France.

Those wanting to simply relax and unwind will find plenty of chances to do just that during their stay. There is also a whirlpool, while some of the apartments have a balcony where guests can enjoy the views over the city.
All apartments have Wifi and air conditioning. Bed linen and towels are included (supplied 1 time).

And with so many restaurants and bars in the area surrounding the Résidence, as well as a fantastic selection found throughout the rest of the city, there are plenty of opportunities to explore the famous French cuisine. There is a wide range of international dining options on offer as well, so guests can choose to explore as many cultures as they like during a holiday in Montpellier.

Things not to miss

The fortified city of Carcassonne is just over an hour and a half away by car from Montpellier, and offers wonderful surroundings with medieval architecture and a castle which looks like it's straight from a fairy tale.

The Aqueduct of Saint Clement is also nearby, and is a magnificent structure, which almost looks like a double bridge. The town of Saint Clement itself is worth exploring as well, providing pretty little streets and quaint, traditional houses.

Nice is a three hour drive away from the city, and offers guests a chance to rub shoulders with the rich and famous, explore the town and make the most of its golden beaches – ideal for a day out.

Montpellier

There is a fantastic range of things to see, do and experience on a holiday in Montpellier, with this historic town offering visitors plenty of opportunities to immerse themselves in the culture of the area. Wander through the old town and admire the stunning buildings, before ducking into shops, bars or restaurants, or simply enjoy the Mediterranean sun as you people-watch in a roadside café with a delicious French coffee.

The beaches are just a short drive away and provide the perfect opportunity to simply relax or take part in some water sports, while the fortified city of Carcassonne and the Aqueduct of Saint Clement are ideal for day trips away from the city.

Activities

There is so much to be explored in the gorgeous city of Montpellier, it's easy to see why so many return here year after year. Just a few examples of the stunning architecture and history are the Place de la Comedie, the Cathedrale St-Pierre, the Chateau de Flaugergues and Le Pavillion Populaire. Families will enjoy walking through the pretty gardens and packing a picnic or two, including the Jardin des Plantes, and the area surrounding the Chateau de Flaugergues. Animal lovers will enjoy a trip to the Parc Zoologique Henri de Lunaret, which is home to some interesting species, while there is also the Aquarium Mare Nostrum, which houses exotic colourful fish and is home to a tunnel tank to give you a fantastic view of the species.

Those wanting to really immerse themselves in the culture will enjoy a trip to the Musee Fabre, which is home to some stunning paintings, as well as the Musee Villa Loupain, which presents some incredible mosaics as well as fascinating archaeological discoveries. For something more relaxing there are also a number of spas dotted throughout the city, providing massages and other pampering treatments to help you completely unwind.

Late arrival (after 7 pm)

Please inform the reception or the reservations centre in advance and we will advise you of the late arrival procedure. You will be charged an extra fee EUR 30.

Key collection

Check in is from 5 pm onwards. The keys are available at the reception on presentation of your accommodation voucher

Deposit

On arrival you have to pay a deposit of 260 Eur (Visa, Euro Card, French Cheque) for your apartment. This will be returned to you within 15 days of your departure assuming there are no charges for breakages or additional cleaning.

Cleaning

End of Stay Cleaning is not included in the accommodation price and clients are required to clean the property before departure. Please note that cleaning products are not always provided.

An End of Stay Cleaning deposit of 30-40 Eur (depending on type) will be taken upon arrival which will be returned along with your Damage Deposit.

Payment conditions

Summer France offers 2 options for payment:

1) Pay in two instalments: 10% deposit at the time of booking and payment of the remaining balance upon arrival. This method of payment is only available when the booking is made more than 30 days before the arrival date.
2) Pay in 1 instalment: pay the full amount at the time of booking and receive a discount of 15 GBP on the overall price of the stay. This method of payment is valid for stays of 7 nights or more, booked more than 40 days before arrival and for a minimum purchase of 150 GBP.

- Any extras added more than 30 days prior to arrival will be added to the final payment
- Any extras added after the final payment to be paid at the time of addition to booking.
-If the booking was made under the 'non refundable' terms, the total amount will be debited at the time of the booking (the discount of 15 GBP is not available on these prices).

Methods of payment accepted:
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, cheques*, holiday vouchers*.
*(only for reservations made more than a month before arrival).
For payments desired by cheque or holiday vouchers the deposit must be paid by way of debit/credit card - Visa, Mastercard, American Express and the second and/or third payment can be made by cheque or holiday voucher.

Cancellation conditions

- If you choose Standard Conditions

If the client cancels a reservation the following amounts will be retained:
-More than 30 days before the date of arrival: 30% of the price of the holiday
-Between 30 days and 21 days before arrival: 45% of the price of the holiday
-Between 20 days and 8 days before arrival: 60% of the price of the holiday
-Between 7 days and 4 days before arrival: 90% of the price of the holiday
-Less than 3 days before arrival: 100% of the price of the holiday

- If you choose Free Cancellation Conditions

If the client cancels a reservation the following amounts will be retained:
-More than 30 days before the arrival date: repayment of the deposit
-Between 30 days and the date of arrival: 100% of the total price will be retained.
-No show: the total price of the reservation will be retained

- If you choose Non Refundable Conditions

As part of the low price non-refundable offer, in the case of a cancellation you will be invoiced for the total amount at any time
