Located in a quiet area in the Languedoc Roussillon, the Pescalunes cottages are surrounded by the pine forest of Agde, with beautiful views over the Mediterranean. Our Residence Les Pescalunes is found in a fantastic location, between Agde and Cap d'Agde, just a short walk to the beaches, shops and activities of the city - around 1km from the cottages. Agde's notable neighbouring towns are Bériers (25km), Sète (25km), and Montpellier (65km).

The charming city of Agde, and its seaside partner, Cap d'Agde, make for lovely sunny summer holidays on the Languedoc Roussillon. Days are well-spent simply wandering through the town, with its cobbled streets and streets lined with cafés and restaurants, before heading down to the glorious beaches. After dinner, a stroll around the marina affords excellent window shopping!
There are plenty of things to do in the region for couples and families alike, from the Agde Cathedral, which looks like a picture perfect toy castle. Families will love Aqua Park Cap d'Agde, which offers a floating assault course of ladders, slides, pathways and obstacles. Adventurous couples can even let their hair (and more!) down at the Cap d'Agde Naturist Village, which is highly popular throughout the summer!
The Marine Aquarium in Cap d'Agde offers a good range of marine wildlife, from moray eels to seahorses. Tickets are free for under fives, 5.70Eu for children and 7.80Eu for adults. For teenagers, Luna Park is a crazy light-up, glowing night-time funfair. There are trampolines, rollercoasters, games, go karts, enormous slides, and live music. Oh, and pretty much everything flashes with neon lighting. Tickets cost 21Eu online.
For more tranquil activities, Agde offers excellent walking and cycling terrain, and daily open markets selling fresh local produce. Beach days are splendid at Cap d'Agde, with fishing and boat trips readily available from the marina.
Things not to miss
Fort Brescou is known as the Alcatraz of France, and is the prison island of France that is definitely worth seeing. Over 400 years old, the ex-prison is built on a volcanic island. Originally built in 1586, then rebuilt in 1680, it was a state prison in the 18th century. It's now empty, but catch a ferry from Agde to the island that sits just 1500m from the coast of Agde, and spend a pleasant afternoon exploring the creepy ex-prison.
La Baie des Pirates is a brilliant themed water park with slides, pools, fountains, a lazy river, a wave pool and a surf machine - not to mention lots of pirates!
